Comment: Dave sprayed on 2 coats of Claret AwlGrip.
radicalconstruction08 * The painting area. The hull and deck took all summer to prepare. (After all, we still had full time jobs!) Now it's September, and time to paint! Note how we have built a proper set of steps with railing up to the transom of the boat. It was far too hard to climb a ladder all the time with your hands full. * 866 x 615 * (141KB)

radicalconstruction09 * Ed painted the deck with a spray gun. We used AwlGrip. * 443 x 696 * (121KB)

radicalconstruction10 * The comanionway is all masked off. Ed's feet got all nicely painted white. The rough areas of the deck were left 'blank' - except for the overspray. These areas will be masked off and painted by brush later. * 570 x 881 * (133KB)

radicalconstruction11 * The deck was then all masked off in preparation for painting the hull. * 881 x 595 * (174KB)

radicalconstruction12 * This time, we had Ed's brother Dave do the work with the spray gun.We built scaffolding all the way around the boat. This is the primer coat. * 876 x 600 * (166KB)
