Comment: "Clamduck", in 1998, before she was ours. The rig and sails are on, and she floats, but the inside is totally unfinished. Even though the hull was built in 1981, she was only sailed for 3 summers in Georgian Bay.

radicalconstruction02 * It all started with an Advertisement....we drove up to Georgian Bay in the middle of winter to see a Handyman Special. It was difficult to tell, but it looked fast and sleek. We thought we could finish the interior in a year. * 574 x 542 * (152KB)

radicalconstruction03 * This is Millenium Falcon, same design as ours. We researched the design, the builder and other owners, to see just what we were getting. * 876 x 590 * (211KB)

radicalconstruction04 * And this is another unfinished hull of the same kind. Clamduck is hull #1, and all these other boats were made from a mould made from her. * 720 x 520 * (119KB)

radicalconstruction05 * Feb '97. We bought Clamduck, and moved it by truck to our front driveway. This had to be done while our back roads were still frozen. We assembled the cradle, and got the boat settled. Then the work began. * 705 x 449 * (112KB)

radicalconstruction06 * There was so much to do....where to start? Because spring was arriving, we decided to work on the outside while we had good weather. The first step was to prepare the deck. First ALL the fittings had to come off. (This is actually the deck after it is painted) * 570 x 847 * (120KB)
